The reader is placed directly in the leaf and is housed in a silver or black frame, which is automatically matched to the colour of the hardware of your PORTA THERMO door. The reader is mounted at eye level.
Included with the eKey dLine is the WINKHAUS SMART EAV3 smart door lock. This is a semi-automatic lock that locks the door when it is closed, without the need for a key. This means no more wondering whether your door is really locked.

Smart door opening with eKey dLine offers 3 practical solutions that you, your household members and even visiting relatives or a babysitter will be able to use.
The first option the eKey dLine has is to open the door by putting your finger on the reader. Your fingerprint is stored locally and permanently in the reader, so the door can be opened whether you are online or offline.
At the same time, all the time, you will be able to open the door with a key. The system features key priority. This means that if you want to use the reader while unlocking the door with a key, it will not respond. In this case, you will have to enter the house in the traditional way.
Another smart solution is to open the door remotely. You can do this from anywhere in the world, simply by installing the app that controls the opening of your eKey bionyx door.
It’s a convenient option that will come in handy when you’re at work and your child forgets the keys to the house. All he has to do is call you and you can open the door for him with one click.
Opening the door with a smartphone is as easy as picking up a parcel from an APM. The difference is that you don’t have to stand outside your house to open them.
Once you have set up the app, as the administrator and homeowner, you can grant temporary access to open the door. This way, your household members, guests or even colleagues will be able to enter your home without needing a key.
All you have to do is save their fingerprint in the app on your smartphone and give them timed access. From now on, they will be able to enter your home by putting their finger on the eKey dLine reader or using the app.
It is a very simple and useful solution that you are sure to use more than once. If a babysitter, tutor or piano teacher comes to visit your child, you can give them access, and when the collaboration with the person is over, all you have to do is select the “take back access” option in the app.

By having a fingerprint reader together with an app that controls your door opening system, you have access to a useful feature such as a log of the entrances to your home. The app automatically records the entry times assigned to each user who opens your door with a reader or smartphone.
Every time someone opens your door you get a push notification on your phone. You will not need to specifically access the system’s event log in your app. This information will simply appear in your on-screen notifications – for example, when your child returns from school.
All information stored in the app is integrated into the Microsoft AZURE cloud. With this solution, it is possible to integrate with other smart systems in your home.
